Car
If you're traveling by car from anywhere in Vestfold, head towards the E18 highway. From the E18, take exit 39 towards Rv19 towards Horten. Follow Rv19 through Horten and continue onto Rv 310 towards Moss. Once you reach Moss, follow the signs for the ferry terminal. Take the ferry from Moss to Horten, which operates frequently. After arriving in Horten, continue on Rv 310 towards Skjærhalden. The national park is located at Strandveien 7, 1680 Skjærhalden. Parking is available near the park entrance.

Public Transportation
To reach Ytre Hvaler National Park using public transportation, start by taking a bus from your location in Vestfold to Moss. The bus service is operated by VY, and you can check schedules on their website. Once in Moss, walk to the ferry terminal and take the ferry to Horten. After disembarking, take a bus (check local bus schedules) towards Skjærhalden. You will need to get off at Strandveien 7, where the park entrance is located. Be sure to check the ferry and bus schedules ahead of time, as they vary throughout the day.
