Aker Brygge: The Heart of Oslo's Waterfront

Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car from Viken to Aker Brygge, start by getting onto the E6 motorway towards Oslo. Once you reach Oslo, follow signs for 'Sentrum'. Continue on E18 and take the exit toward 'Oslo S' to merge into the city center. Look for parking options as you approach Aker Brygge; there are several parking garages available, such as 'Aker Brygge P-hus' which charges approximately 40 NOK per hour.

• Train

  For those using public transportation, take a train from any station in Viken (like Lillestrøm or Sandvika) towards Oslo S (Oslo Central Station). Train tickets will cost around 100-150 NOK for a one-way trip. Once you arrive at Oslo S, follow the signs for the exit to 'Biskop Gunnerus gate' and walk towards the waterfront. From there, Aker Brygge is approximately a 10-minute walk along the waterfront.

• Bus

  Alternatively, you can take a bus from various locations in Viken directly to Oslo. Look for bus routes that stop at 'Oslo Bussterminal' or 'Oslo Rådhus'. Bus fares are usually around 90-120 NOK for a one-way trip. After alighting at either terminal, walk towards the waterfront, which is about a 15-minute walk to Aker Brygge.
