If you are near Akron's downtown area, head to the Akron Metro RTA Station at 631 S Broadway St. Catch the bus towards Cleveland, specifically the 66 or 77 line, which directly services the route. After approximately 30-40 minutes of travel, disembark at the Tower City Center stop in Cleveland. From there, walk east on W 6th St until you reach Superior Ave. Turn left on Superior Ave, and the Cathedral will be on your right at 1007 Superior Ave.

Begin your journey at the Akron station and take the Amtrak train towards Cleveland. The trip will take about an hour. Once you arrive at the Cleveland Amtrak station, exit and head to the nearby Tower City Center. From Tower City, walk east on W 6th St until you reach Superior Ave. Turn left onto Superior Ave, and you’ll find the Cathedral of St John the Evangelist at 1007 Superior Ave on your right.

For those who prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from a local bike-sharing program in Akron. Start your ride from downtown Akron and take the Towpath Trail north towards Cleveland. Follow the trail until you reach the Cuyahoga River, then cross over to downtown Cleveland. Once you are in downtown, head east to Superior Ave. Continue on Superior Ave and you will see the Cathedral of St John the Evangelist at 1007 Superior Ave.

Start by heading north on S Main St. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with E Mill St. Turn right onto E Mill St and follow it until you reach the bus terminal. From there, take a bus to Cleveland, either the 66 or 77 line, as previously mentioned, or simply enjoy the walk which may take around 2 hours. Once in Cleveland, head towards the Tower City Center, then proceed east on W 6th St to Superior Ave, where you’ll find the Cathedral at 1007 Superior Ave.
