To reach Indian Signal Tree from downtown Akron, start at the Akron Metro RTA Transit Center. Board the Route 1 bus heading towards 'Hudson'. Stay on the bus for approximately 15-20 minutes until you reach the 'Peck Rd & Merriman Rd' stop. Once you disembark, walk east on Peck Rd for about 0.5 miles until you see the entrance to the park where Indian Signal Tree is located.
Walking
If you are near the Akron Zoo, you can walk to Indian Signal Tree. Head north on Market St towards W Wilbeth Rd. Turn left onto W Wilbeth Rd and continue until you reach Merriman Rd. Turn right on Merriman Rd and walk until you reach Peck Rd. Turn left onto Peck Rd and walk about 1 mile. The Indian Signal Tree will be on your left.
Biking
For those who prefer biking, you can start from the Cuyahoga Valley National Park entrance. Follow the Towpath Trail north until you reach the intersection with Merriman Rd. Turn left on Merriman Rd and continue until you reach Peck Rd. Turn right onto Peck Rd, and after biking about 0.5 miles, Indian Signal Tree will be located on your left side.
