Start at the Chillicothe downtown area, specifically at the Ross County Courthouse located at 45 E Main St, Chillicothe, OH 45601. From the courthouse, head south on E Main St toward S Paint St. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with S Paint St. Turn right onto S Paint St and continue walking until you reach the intersection with E Water St. Turn left onto E Water St and walk until you reach the intersection with N Bridge St. Turn right onto N Bridge St and walk over the Scioto River. After crossing the river, continue straight as N Bridge St becomes Lake Rd. Follow Lake Rd for approximately 2 miles. You will find Scioto Trail State Park on your right at 144 Lake Rd, Chillicothe, OH 45601.
