Public Transit
From downtown Cleveland, walk to the Tower City Center, which is located at 230 W Huron Rd, Cleveland, OH 44113. Catch the RTA Green Line or Blue Line train heading towards Shaker Square or the Airport. Get off at the Akron station. Once you arrive in Akron, walk south on S Main St towards W Market St for about 0.5 miles until you reach 1 S High St. The Akron Art Museum will be on your left.
Bus
From downtown Cleveland, head to the nearest RTA bus stop and board the bus number 77 (Akron Express). This bus will take you directly to Akron. The ride will take approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at the bus terminal in Akron, walk south on S High St for about 0.2 miles. The Akron Art Museum will be on your right at 1 S High St.
Bicycle
If you prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing services available in Cleveland. Start at Public Square and head south on W 3rd St, then take a left onto W St Clair Ave. Follow this road until you reach the Towpath Trail. Continue on the Towpath Trail towards Akron. The scenic route is approximately 30 miles long and will take around 2-3 hours. Once you reach Akron, follow the signs to downtown and head to 1 S High St, where the museum is located.
Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and want to experience the scenic views, you can walk from downtown Cleveland to Akron. Start your journey on W 6th St heading south, then take a right onto W 3rd St. Follow the trail towards the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. This route is approximately 38 miles and will take around 10-12 hours, so make sure to pack water and snacks. Once you reach Akron, head to 1 S High St to visit the Akron Art Museum.
