Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving in Lake Erie Islands, head towards Put-In-Bay. From the center of Put-In-Bay, follow Catawba Avenue east. The Lake Erie Islands Historical Museum is located at 411 Catawba Ave, which is on your left side. There is typically street parking available nearby, but be sure to check for any parking restrictions. No external costs are required for parking.

• Public Transportation (Ferry)

  If you're coming from the mainland, take the Miller Ferry or the Jet Express to Put-In-Bay. Once you arrive at the Put-In-Bay ferry terminal, exit the terminal and head north on Catawba Avenue. The museum is about a 10-minute walk from the terminal, located at 411 Catawba Ave. Be aware that ferry tickets may cost between $10-$20 per person round trip, depending on the service you choose.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle at one of the rental shops in Put-In-Bay. Start from the center of Put-In-Bay and ride along Catawba Avenue. It’s a straightforward route and will take about 5 minutes to reach the Lake Erie Islands Historical Museum at 411 Catawba Ave. There are bike racks available near the museum.

• Walking

  For those already in Put-In-Bay, walking to the museum is quite feasible. From any location in the village, make your way to Catawba Avenue and head east. The museum is located at 411 Catawba Ave, and it should take no more than 15 minutes on foot. This is a great way to enjoy the sights of Put-In-Bay.
