Car
If you are driving from Maumee Valley, start by getting onto I-75 N from your location. Depending on where you are in Maumee Valley, you may need to take local roads to reach I-75. Once on I-75 N, continue for about 10 miles. Take exit 201B for I-280 N toward Detroit. Follow I-280 N for approximately 5 miles, then take exit 6 for Airport Hwy/US-20 W. Turn right onto Airport Hwy/US-20 W and proceed about 3 miles. Turn left onto S Byrne Rd, then right onto E Broadway St. Continue straight until you reach 2 Hippo Way, where the Toledo Zoo is located. Parking is available at the zoo, and there may be a parking fee depending on the day.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, start at the nearest bus stop in Maumee Valley. Take the TARTA bus route that goes to Toledo. You will likely need to transfer buses at the TARTA transfer hub. From there, look for a bus heading towards the Toledo Zoo. Ensure to check the TARTA schedule beforehand as bus times may vary. The fare for a one-way trip is approximately $2.50. Once you arrive at the Toledo Zoo stop, the entrance is just a short walk from the bus stop. Plan your trip accordingly to ensure you arrive during the zoo's operating hours.
