Turn onto Pleasant Hill Lake Trail and follow the signs for the backpack campsites. Backpack Campsite #9 is located along the trail approximately 1.5 miles from the parking area. Look for trail markers indicating Backpack Campsite #9.

Once you have parked your car at the designated parking area for backpack camping, start your hike towards Backpack Campsite #9. The trail leading to the campsite is marked. Follow the Pleasant Hill Lake Trail; it will lead you directly to the campsite. Make sure to carry enough water and supplies as this is a backcountry site.

If you are using public transportation, take a Greyhound or local bus to Ashland, Ohio. From Ashland, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to the main entrance of Mohican State Park. Once at the park, follow the car guidance provided above to reach the parking area for the backpack campsites.
