Ferry
To reach the North Shore Loop Hiking Trail, first, make your way to the Jet Express terminal located at 1 Cedar Point Drive, Sandusky, OH 44870. From anywhere in Sandusky, you can walk to Cedar Point Drive. Once at the terminal, purchase a ferry ticket to Kelleys Island. The ferry ride is approximately 30 minutes. After arriving at Kelleys Island, exit the ferry and head towards the main road. Follow the signs to the North Shore Loop Trail, which is situated along Unnamed Road. It's about a 15-minute walk from the ferry dock to the trailhead.
Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Sandusky. After securing your bike, head towards the Jet Express terminal at 1 Cedar Point Drive. Once there, take the ferry to Kelleys Island. After disembarking, you can cycle around the island. Follow the signs towards the North Shore Loop Hiking Trail, which is accessible via Unnamed Road. The trail is approximately 3 miles from the ferry dock, and biking will provide a scenic route.
Walking
Once you arrive at the Jet Express terminal at 1 Cedar Point Drive in Sandusky, purchase your ferry ticket to Kelleys Island. After a 30-minute ferry ride, you will arrive at the Kelleys Island dock. From there, walk along the main road towards the North Shore Loop Hiking Trail. The trailhead can be found on Unnamed Road, which is about a 15-minute walk from the dock.
