To reach Whispering Cave by car, start from the main entrance of Wayne National Forest. Head south on SR 93 for approximately 6 miles until you reach the junction with SR 278. Turn left onto SR 278 and continue for about 8 miles. You will pass several scenic spots along the way. Look for signs directing you toward Hocking Hills State Park. Once you see the signs, keep an eye out for the parking area leading to the Whispering Cave trailhead. The parking lot is well marked. There is no entry fee for the cave itself, but parking fees may apply.

If you are using public transportation, the nearest bus service is available from the city of Logan. Take the local bus to Hocking Hills State Park. Once you arrive at the park stop, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles to the Whispering Cave trailhead. Follow the signs toward the cave.
