Public Transit - Bus
If you are starting from downtown Youngstown, head to the Youngstown Transit Center located at 340 Federal Plaza. Board the WRTA bus number 46 towards Boardman. Stay on the bus for approximately 25 minutes until you reach the stop at Market Street & Southern Blvd. From there, transfer to bus number 51. Continue on bus number 51 for another 15 minutes, getting off at the stop near the intersection of South Ave & Western Reserve Road. Mill Creek Park - South End will be a short walk from the bus stop, approximately 0.5 miles south along South Avenue. Follow the signs to the park entrance.
Walking
If you are near the downtown area or the Youngstown State University campus, you can walk to Mill Creek Park - South End. Start heading south on Wick Avenue until you reach the intersection with Mahoning Avenue. Turn left onto Mahoning Avenue and continue walking until you reach South Avenue. Turn right onto South Avenue and continue walking. After about 2 miles, you will see signs for Mill Creek Park - South End on your right. The walk will take approximately 40-50 minutes depending on your pace.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from a local bike share program if available. Start at the downtown area and head south along the designated bike routes. Follow the bike lanes to Mahoning Avenue, then turn onto South Avenue. Continue south on South Avenue for about 2 miles until you reach Mill Creek Park - South End. The park has bike racks available for you to secure your bike while you explore the area.
