Getting There

• Car

  If you are already within Beavers Bend State Park, head northwest on N. U.S. Highway 259. Continue straight for about 5 miles until you reach the junction with the park's scenic loop road. Turn onto the scenic loop road, following the signs for the Broken Bow Overlook. Continue for approximately 3 miles, passing by various scenic viewpoints. Look for the signs directing you to the Broken Bow Overlook parking area. The overlook will be on your left, and you can park in the designated area before walking to the viewpoint.

• Public Transportation

  If you are relying on public transportation, check local services for shuttle options that operate within Beavers Bend State Park. Once you reach the nearest shuttle stop, ask the driver to drop you off at the Broken Bow Overlook stop, if available. If there are no direct routes, you may need to take a shuttle to the park's main entrance and then use a ride-share service, such as Uber or Lyft, to reach the overlook, as it is a short distance from the main park areas.

• Biking/Walking

  If you're feeling adventurous and are staying near the park, consider biking or walking to the overlook. From the park's visitor center, follow the paved paths and trails leading northwest toward the scenic loop road. This route will take you through beautiful natural scenery. The distance from the visitor center to the Broken Bow Overlook is approximately 5 miles. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes if walking and bring water. This method is free but may take longer than driving.
