From Prairie Plains, start by heading northwest on Main St toward US-283 N. Continue on US-283 N for about 24 miles. Then, take the exit for OK-47 Alt toward Cheyenne. Continue on OK-47 Alt for approximately 8 miles, and you will see the Washita Battlefield National Historic Site on your right at 18555 OK-47 Alt, Cheyenne, OK 73628. There is no entrance fee to visit the site.
