If you are driving, head towards the town of Tanuf which is located approximately 30 km northwest of Nizwa. From Nizwa, take Route 21 (also known as the Nizwa-Bahla Road) and follow the signs towards Bahla. After about 20 km, turn left onto Route 22 towards Tanuf. Continue on this road for about 10 km until you reach the village of Tanuf. The castle ruins are located just a short distance from the village center.
