Getting There

    If you are traveling by car from Muscat, head south on Route 1 (Sultan Qaboos Highway) for approximately 150 kilometers. Take the exit towards Nizwa and continue on Route 15. Follow the signs to Al Hajar Al Gharbi. Once you reach the base of the mountain, park your car in the designated parking area. The last part of the journey involves a short hike to the peak.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Al Hajar Al Gharbi by public transportation, take a bus from Muscat to Nizwa, which costs around 3 Omani Rials. The journey takes about 2-3 hours. From Nizwa, hire a taxi to Al Hajar Al Gharbi, which should cost between 10-15 Omani Rials. The taxi will take you to the base of the mountain where you can start your hike.
