Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start by heading south from the town of Sur. Follow the signs for Wadi Ash Shab, which is located approximately 20 kilometers from Sur. You will drive along Route 23, a scenic coastal road. Once you reach the entrance of Wadi Ash Shab, there is a parking area where you can leave your car. Note that there may be a small fee for parking.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Wadi Ash Shab via public transportation, you can take a local bus or shared taxi from Sur. Look for buses heading to Tiwi or Wadi Ash Shab. The journey will take about 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive at the entrance of Wadi Ash Shab, you'll need to walk to the parking area where you can catch a boat to cross the river. There is typically a small fee for the boat ride, which is around 1-2 Omani Rial.

• Walking

  After arriving at the parking area, if you choose to walk further into Wadi Ash Shab, be prepared for a hike. The path can be rugged and may require climbing over some rocks. It is advisable to wear appropriate footwear and carry sufficient water. The main attractions, including the beautiful pools and caves, are about a 30-minute walk from the parking area.
