Car
If you're traveling by car in Dhofar Region, head towards the town of Salalah first. From Salalah, take Route 49 heading east towards Mirbat. After approximately 30 kilometers, you will see signs directing you to Khor Rori. Turn off Route 49 onto the smaller road leading directly to Khor Rori. The drive takes about 45 minutes from Salalah, and parking is available near the archaeological site.
Public Transportation
To reach Khor Rori using public transportation, start by taking a bus or shared taxi from Salalah to Mirbat. This journey will take around 30 minutes. Once in Mirbat, you can find local taxis that will take you directly to Khor Rori for a small fee (approximately 5-10 OMR). Make sure to confirm the price before starting your ride. The taxi ride from Mirbat to Khor Rori will take about 15-20 minutes.
Walking
If you're already in Mirbat and prefer a more adventurous route, you can walk to Khor Rori. The site is about 5 kilometers from the center of Mirbat. Follow the coastal road heading east, and you will reach Khor Rori in approximately 1 hour. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as the walk can be quite hot during the day.
