Car
If you are driving from Salalah, take the Sultan Qaboos Street (Road 49) heading east for approximately 30 kilometers. Follow the signs towards Taqah. Once you reach the town of Taqah, keep an eye out for the large sign for Taqah Castle on your right. The castle is located at the address 29QW+J44, Taqah. There is parking available near the castle.
Public Transportation
To reach Taqah Castle via public transport, you can take a bus or shared taxi from Salalah to Taqah. The buses leave from the Salalah Central Bus Station and the fare is typically around 1-2 OMR (Omani Rial). The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Taqah, it is a short walk (about 10 minutes) to the castle. Look for signs pointing towards the castle as you walk through the town.
Walking
If you are already in the Taqah area, you can easily walk to Taqah Castle. From the center of Taqah, head east on the main road, and follow the signs to the castle. It should take you around 15-20 minutes on foot. The route is straightforward, and you will enjoy views of the local architecture along the way.
