Walking
From the center of Rustaq, start at the Rustaq Fort. Head south on the main road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit onto the Al Hamra road (Route 15). Continue walking along this road for approximately 4 kilometers. You will pass by local shops and small eateries. Keep an eye out for the sign for Al Hamra village, which will be on your left. Once you see the sign, follow the path into the village. Old Al Hamra village is located at the coordinates 23.1202424, 57.2830528, and you will see a distinct change in architecture as you enter the historical area.
Public Bus
From Rustaq, head to the nearest bus station located near the Rustaq Fort. Look for buses heading towards Al Hamra. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at Al Hamra. Once you arrive, walk towards the village center. The historical Old Al Hamra village is about a 10-minute walk from the bus drop-off point. Follow the main road straight until you see the old buildings and traditional architecture, which signify you have arrived.
Taxi
You can hire a local taxi from Rustaq. Simply ask your hotel or a local to call a taxi for you, or find one waiting near the Rustaq Fort. Once in the taxi, inform the driver that you want to go to Old Al Hamra village. The journey will take about 20 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will take you along Route 15. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off near the entrance of the village, where you can start exploring the historical sites.
