Walking
Start at Rustaq Fort, a well-known landmark in Rustaq. From the fort, head south on Al-Hazm Street until you reach the intersection with 23rd July Road. Turn left onto 23rd July Road and continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the road leading towards Shinaytah. After approximately 3 kilometers, you will see signposts indicating the direction towards سد وادي الهجر. Follow these signs for another 2 kilometers, which will lead you directly to the entrance of the dam area.

Public Transport
From the Rustaq main bus station, take a local bus heading towards Shinaytah. Inform the driver that you want to visit سد وادي الهجر. The journey will take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Shinaytah, get off at the main stop. From there, it is a 20-minute walk to the dam. Head west on the main road until you reach the signposts that direct you to سد وادي الهجر. Follow the signs for a short walk to the dam.
