Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, from the nearest major city (Muscat), take the Route 15 highway south towards Sur. After approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, exit onto Route 23 towards Tiwi. Follow the signs for Wadi Shab. Once you reach Wadi Shab, find a parking area near the entrance of the Wadi Shab park. The tour guide is located within this area.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Wadi Shab via public transportation, take a bus from Muscat to Tiwi. Buses typically depart from the main bus station in Muscat. Once you arrive in Tiwi, you may need to take a taxi or arrange for a local ride to reach Wadi Shab. The tour guide is situated near the entrance to the park, which is a short drive from the Tiwi bus stop.

• Walking

  If you are already within Wadi Shab, navigate to the entrance of Wadi Shab park where you will find the tour guide. It's a straightforward walk from any accommodation in the valley area. Just follow the signs leading towards the park entrance, and you will encounter the tour guide's location as you approach the main visitor area.

• Boat

  After reaching the park entrance, you may need to cross a small river to access the main areas of Wadi Shab. This typically involves a short boat ride which is usually included in the entrance fee. Ensure you have cash for any additional costs associated with the boat ride.
