If you are traveling by car from any location within Wahiba Sands, head towards the main road leading out of the desert. Look for signs towards 'Bidiyah' or 'Wadi Bani Khalid'. Once you reach the main road, continue driving west for approximately 30 km until you reach Bidiyah. After reaching Bidiyah, take the right turn onto the road leading to Wadi Hawer, which is marked with local signage. Continue on this road for about 15 km, and you will find the entrance to Wadi Hawer on your left. Note that the roads can be unpaved, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.

Public Transportation
For those relying on public transportation, you will first need to take a bus from Muscat to Ibra. Buses depart regularly from the main bus station in Muscat, and the journey takes around 2-3 hours. Once in Ibra, you can hire a taxi or find a local minibus heading towards Bidiyah. Inform the driver that you want to go to Wadi Hawer. The taxi may cost around 15-20 OMR for the trip from Ibra to Wadi Hawer. Ensure to confirm the fare before starting your journey.
