Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from downtown Baker City. Head east on Campbell Street towards 10th Street. Turn left onto 10th Street and continue until you reach the intersection with Main Street (OR-30). Turn right onto Main Street and follow it as it becomes OR-86. Continue on OR-86 for approximately 5 miles. The Oregon Trail Centennial Obelisk will be on your right, just off the highway. There is a small parking area available for visitors.

• Public Transportation

  Currently, there is no direct public transportation service to the Oregon Trail Centennial Obelisk. However, you can take a local bus or shuttle service to reach the nearest town or community center in Baker City. From there, consider using a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft to get to the obelisk. Be aware that rideshare services may incur additional costs. Ensure you have a mobile device with data to book your ride.

• Biking

  For those who prefer biking, you can rent a bike in Baker City. Start from the downtown area, head east on Campbell Street towards 10th Street, then turn left onto 10th Street and right onto Main Street (OR-30). Once on OR-86, be cautious as it is a highway with vehicle traffic. The obelisk is about a 5-mile ride, and there is a small area to park your bike once you arrive.
