Car
From the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway, head south toward Mount Bachelor. After about 7 miles, look for the signs indicating Todd Lake. Turn right onto a gravel road (Todd Lake Road) leading into the Todd Lake area. Continue on this road for about 2 miles until you reach the Todd Lake parking area. Note that there may be a day-use fee for parking, typically around $5.
Public Transportation
Visitors can utilize public transportation services operating in the Bend area. Use the Cascades East Transit system to reach the nearest bus stop on Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway. From the bus stop, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles along the road to reach Todd Lake. This option may take longer due to limited bus schedules, so check the latest timetable in advance. Ensure to bring comfortable walking shoes.
Hiking
If you are already in the vicinity of other hiking trails along the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway, you can access Todd Lake via marked hiking trails. Look for signs that direct you to Todd Lake from nearby trails such as the South Sister Trailhead. The hike is approximately 3 miles and offers beautiful views. Make sure to have a map or a GPS-enabled device to help with navigation.
