Car
From any location in Clackamas County, head towards US-26 E (also known as the Mount Hood Highway). If you're starting from Portland, take I-205 S towards Oregon City and then merge onto US-26 E. Continue on US-26 E for approximately 40 miles. Look for the signs directing you to Mount Hood. Once you reach the junction with OR-35 N, take that exit towards Mount Hood. Continue on OR-35 N for about 8 miles, then turn left onto E Lolo Pass Rd. After 2 miles, the parking area for Little Zigzag Falls will be on your right. Note that there is no fee for parking.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take TriMet bus line 80 from Portland to the Sandy Transit Center. From Sandy, you will need to arrange a taxi or a rideshare service to get to the Little Zigzag Falls trailhead, as public transportation options are limited in the Mount Hood area. Ensure to check the current bus schedules on the TriMet website for the latest information. The taxi or rideshare cost may vary, typically ranging around $30-$50 one way, depending on the distance.
Hiking
Once you arrive at the parking area for Little Zigzag Falls, the trailhead is easily accessible. The hike to the falls is about 0.5 miles round trip and is well-marked. Follow the trail signs, and you will reach the falls in approximately 15-20 minutes.
