If you are driving, head towards the Rim Drive in Crater Lake National Park. Start from the park's entrance at the Crater Lake Visitor Center. Drive along the Rim Drive and follow the signs towards the Phantom Ship overlook. This drive is a scenic route that circles the lake, and you will enjoy breathtaking views along the way. The approximate distance from the visitor center to the Phantom Ship overlook is about 11 miles. Once you reach the Phantom Ship overlook, there is a designated parking area where you can park your car.

For those interested in a more adventurous route, consider hiking the trail from the Cleetwood Cove Trailhead to the lake's edge, and then taking in the views of Phantom Ship from the water. To get there, drive to the Cleetwood Cove Trailhead, which is located off of Rim Drive. The hike down to the lake is about 1.1 miles. After reaching the shore, you can see Phantom Ship across the water. Note that this hike is steep and may take about 30 minutes to descend. Be cautious of your return trip, as it is uphill.
