To reach Lava River Cave from central locations in Crook County, start by heading southwest on US-97 S. Continue on US-97 S for approximately 25 miles until you reach the exit for Bend. Merge onto the Bend Parkway (OR-97) and follow the signs towards Bend. Once in Bend, take the exit for Century Drive (OR-46) and turn left onto Century Drive. After about 5 miles, turn right onto Cottonwood Road. Keep following Cottonwood Road for around 2 miles, and you will arrive at the Lava River Cave parking area on your right. Please note that there is a fee of $3 per person for flashlight rentals inside the cave.
