If you're traveling by car from Prineville, head south on US-97 S for about 20 miles. Take the exit for OR-126 W toward Redmond. Continue on OR-126 W for approximately 14 miles until you reach Sunriver. Once in Sunriver, turn left onto River Rd and follow it for about 2 miles. The Oregon Observatory will be on your right at 57245 River Rd, Sunriver, OR 97707. Be mindful that parking is available on-site, and there may be a nominal fee for parking during special events.
Car
From Bend, take US-97 S for about 16 miles. Exit onto OR-126 W toward Redmond. Continue on OR-126 W for about 12 miles, then turn left onto River Rd in Sunriver. Drive approximately 2 miles, and the Oregon Observatory will be on your right at 57245 River Rd, Sunriver, OR 97707. Parking is available, and check for any potential fees.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a shuttle or bus from Bend to Sunriver. Once in Sunriver, you may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service, as public transport does not go directly to the observatory. The observatory is about 2 miles from the Sunriver Village, so a taxi or rideshare is highly recommended. Ensure to check the shuttle schedule ahead of time for availability.
