Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, the Thomas Condon Visitor Center is located at 32651 OR-19, Kimberly, OR 97848. From the city of John Day, take OR-26 E for about 20 miles until you reach the junction with OR-19. Turn right onto OR-19 and continue for approximately 10 miles. The Visitor Center will be on your left. There is no entry fee for the Visitor Center, but be mindful of fuel costs and check your vehicle’s fuel level before heading out, as gas stations can be sparse in Eastern Oregon.

• Public Transportation

  Public transportation options to the Thomas Condon Visitor Center are limited. The nearest city with public transport is John Day, which has a local bus service. You can take the bus to the nearest stop in John Day and then you would need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to cover the remaining distance of about 30 miles to the Visitor Center.
