To reach Blue Lake Regional Park by car, start by heading towards NE Blue Lake Rd in Fairview. If you're coming from the town of John Day, take US-26 W towards Portland. After approximately 2.5 hours of driving, merge onto I-84 W towards Portland. Continue for about 78 miles. Take exit 14 for NE 223rd Ave and turn right onto NE 223rd Ave. After approximately 4 miles, turn left onto NE Blue Lake Rd. The park will be on your right at 21224 NE Blue Lake Rd, Fairview, OR 97024.

To reach Blue Lake Regional Park using public transportation, you can take the Greyhound bus from John Day to Portland. Once in Portland, transfer to the MAX Light Rail at the Greyhound station. Take the MAX Blue Line towards Hillsboro and get off at the 181st Ave station. From there, take the TriMet bus #77 towards Rocky Butte. Get off at the stop for NE 223rd Ave & NE Blue Lake Rd, and then walk approximately 0.5 miles to the park entrance at 21224 NE Blue Lake Rd, Fairview, OR 97024.
