Walking
If you're starting in downtown Hood River, head east on Oak Street towards 2nd Street. Turn left on 2nd Street and continue until you reach State Route 35. Cross over to the other side of the street. Continue walking north on State Route 35 for about 1.5 miles. The Gorge White House will be on your right at 2265 OR-35. Look for the large white building with a welcoming sign.
Biking
From downtown Hood River, rent a bike from a local shop. Head east on Oak Street, then take 2nd Street north towards State Route 35. Once you reach State Route 35, turn right and bike north. The ride is approximately 1.5 miles, and you'll see The Gorge White House on your right. Enjoy the beautiful views along the way!
Public Transportation
Take the Columbia Area Transit (CAT) bus from downtown Hood River. Board the bus at the nearest stop on State Route 35. You will need to check the schedule to ensure the bus is running to The Gorge White House. Ask the driver to let you know when you reach the stop near 2265 OR-35, which is approximately 1.5 miles from downtown. Once you get off, walk a short distance to The Gorge White House.
