Car
From the town of Sisters, head west on McKenzie Highway (OR-126) for approximately 28 miles. Continue straight as the highway winds through the scenic landscapes. Look for the signs indicating Dee Wright Observatory. The observatory will be located on the left side of the road, just past the junction with the Cascade Lakes Highway. There is a parking area available for visitors.
Car
If you are starting from the city of Redmond, take US-97 South to the exit for OR-126 West. Follow OR-126 West for about 40 miles, passing through the beautiful vistas of the Cascade Mountains. When you reach the junction with Cascade Lakes Highway, continue on McKenzie Highway (OR-126) for a short distance. Dee Wright Observatory will be on your left, with a designated parking area.
Public Transportation
While there are no direct public transportation routes to Dee Wright Observatory, you can take a bus from Bend to Sisters. From Sisters, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach Dee Wright Observatory, which is approximately a 28-mile drive. Be sure to check local bus schedules for availability and plan accordingly.
