Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from Klamath Falls, head north on US-97. Continue for approximately 30 miles until you reach the junction with OR-62. Take the exit for OR-62 East toward Crater Lake. After about 20 miles, turn left onto OR-140 East. After 3 miles, turn right onto Modoc Point Road (Forest Road 34). Follow the signs for Williamson River Campground, which will be approximately 5 miles down this road. The campground is located at Chiloquin, OR 97624.

• Public Transportation

  Take public transportation from Klamath Falls to Chiloquin. You can use the Klamath Falls Transit bus service that operates routes to Chiloquin. Once you arrive in Chiloquin, you will need to arrange for a taxi or ride-share service to reach Williamson River Campground, as there are no direct public transit options to the campground itself. Be sure to check the current bus schedules for any changes in routes and times.

• Biking

  For the adventurous, biking from Klamath Falls to Williamson River Campground is an option. Start by heading north on US-97, then take OR-62 East toward Crater Lake. You will encounter varied terrain, so be prepared for some hills. Once at the junction with Modoc Point Road (Forest Road 34), follow this road until you reach the campground. Ensure you have proper gear and check the weather conditions before setting out.

• Walking/Hiking

  If you're near Chiloquin, you can hike to Williamson River Campground. However, this requires a solid understanding of local trails and a good level of fitness. From Chiloquin, you can access trails that lead toward the campground area. Make sure to carry enough water and snacks for the journey.
