Car
To reach Sahalie Falls Viewpoint from anywhere in Lake County, start by heading towards Highway 20. If you're in the town of Lakeview, take US-395 N to connect to OR-20 W. Follow OR-20 W until you reach the junction with OR-126 E. Merge onto OR-126 E and continue for about 40 miles. Look for signs indicating the McKenzie River area. Once you reach McKenzie Bridge, turn onto McKenzie River Drive (which is also known as Forest Road 2610). Continue along this road for approximately 3.5 miles until you see the Sahalie Falls Viewpoint parking area on your right. Note that parking can sometimes be limited, especially during peak tourism seasons.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus service that operates in the region, such as the Cascades East Transit. First, check the schedule and routes to ensure you can get to the nearest station to Sahalie Falls. Most likely, you will need to reach the town of Sisters or Bend, where you can catch a shuttle or taxi service to McKenzie Bridge. Once in McKenzie Bridge, you can either walk (about 2.5 miles) or arrange for a local taxi to take you to Sahalie Falls Viewpoint. Be aware of the schedules, as they might not run frequently. Also, ensure you have some cash on hand for the taxi fare.
