    From Silver Falls State Park, head northeast on Silver Falls Hwy SE (OR-214) for about 8 miles. Continue on OR-214 until you reach the junction with N Fork Rd. Turn left onto N Fork Rd and follow it for approximately 7 miles. You will see signs for Opal Creek Wilderness. The parking area is located at 22985 N Fork Rd, Lyons, OR 97358. Note that there may be a parking fee, so be prepared with cash or a credit card.

    Currently, there are limited public transportation options directly to Opal Creek Wilderness. However, you can take a bus from Silverton to Salem, and then transfer to a bus heading towards Lyons. Once you arrive in Lyons, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to cover the remaining distance of approximately 5 miles to reach the Opal Creek Wilderness trailhead at 22985 N Fork Rd.
