From downtown The Dalles, head east on East 1st Street towards Union Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with East 2nd Street. Turn left onto East 2nd Street and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Chenoweth Loop. Here, turn right and follow Chenoweth Loop as it leads you out of town. After about a mile, you will merge onto US-30. Continue walking along US-30 for approximately 4 miles. Garnier Vineyards will be on your left at 8467 US-30. Please be cautious as this road can be busy and ensure to follow pedestrian safety guidelines.
Bicycle
If you prefer to bike, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in The Dalles. Start by heading east on East 1st Street towards Union Street. Continue to East 2nd Street, turning left, and then take a right onto Chenoweth Loop. Follow Chenoweth Loop until it merges with US-30. Bike alongside US-30 for about 4 miles. Garnier Vineyards will be on your left at 8467 US-30. Ensure to wear a helmet and follow all cycling safety rules.
Public Transit
While there is no direct public transit to Garnier Vineyards, you can take the Columbia Area Transit bus from downtown The Dalles. Board the bus heading towards Mosier and get off at the nearest stop to Garnier Vineyards, which is approximately 4 miles away. From there, it will be a bit of a walk along US-30 to reach the vineyard. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of your visit to avoid long wait times.
