Public Bus
From downtown The Dalles, head to the nearest bus stop located at 3rd St and Union St. Take the Columbia Area Transit (CAT) bus route towards Hood River. Ensure you check the bus schedule for the timings. The trip to Hood River will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Hood River bus station, disembark and walk towards 1st St. Follow 1st St north until you reach Oak St. Turn left on Oak St, which will turn into Van Horn Dr. Continue on Van Horn Dr for about 1 mile, and Mt. Hood Winery will be on your left at 2882 Van Horn Dr.

If you're up for a ride, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in The Dalles. Start by heading south on 3rd St until you reach the waterfront. Follow the scenic bike path along the Columbia River, which provides beautiful views. After about 6 miles, you will reach Hood River. When you reach the intersection of 1st St, make a left and continue until you reach Oak St, then turn right onto Van Horn Dr. Mt. Hood Winery is about 1 mile ahead on your left.

If you prefer to walk, start from downtown The Dalles and head towards the Columbia River. Walk along the riverfront until you reach the waterfront park area. From there, follow the walking paths towards the east until you reach the Hood River Bridge. Cross the bridge (be cautious of traffic). Once in Hood River, continue straight on 1st St until you reach Oak St, turn left onto Oak St which will turn into Van Horn Dr. Mt. Hood Winery is located at 2882 Van Horn Dr, about 1 mile from where you turn.
