If you are driving from the center of Umpqua Valley, head southeast on OR-138 E. Continue on OR-138 for approximately 45 miles until you reach the junction with I-5. Merge onto I-5 S towards Medford. After about 30 miles, take exit 30 for OR-62 E towards Crater Lake. Follow OR-62 E for about 20 miles, and then turn left onto OR-140 E. Continue on OR-140 E for approximately 10 miles, where you'll see signs for Mt. McLoughlin. Follow these signs to reach the base of the mountain, located at Oregon 97524.
Public Transportation
To reach Mt. McLoughlin via public transport, take a Greyhound or local bus service from Umpqua Valley to Medford, which is approximately 30 miles away. Upon arriving in Medford, transfer to a local shuttle or taxi service that operates routes to Crater Lake National Park area. Ensure to check the shuttle schedule in advance, as services may be limited. Request a drop-off at the base of Mt. McLoughlin, located at Oregon 97524. Be prepared for potential costs associated with bus fare and shuttle services.

Follow the same route as the driving directions, taking OR-138 E for approximately 45 miles, then merge onto I-5 S towards Medford. You can bike along OR-62 E, which is approximately a 20-mile ride.
