History of Umpqua Valley

Ancient Inhabitants: The Umpqua Tribes

Long before European settlers arrived, the Umpqua Valley was home to several Native American tribes, including the Umpqua, Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians, and the Yoncalla.
