From Joseph, Oregon, take OR-82 E for approximately 6 miles. Turn right onto the road leading to the Wallowa Lake Tramway. Follow the signs to the tram base, where you can park your car. The tram ride will take you to the summit of Mount Howard.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, your best option is to take a local shuttle or taxi service from Joseph to Wallowa Lake. Once at Wallowa Lake, you can access the Wallowa Lake Tramway. Note that you will need to pay for the tram ride, which is approximately $15 for adults and $10 for children (prices may vary).
