Car
If you're traveling by car, start by getting onto I-84 E from your current location in Wasco County. Continue on I-84 E for approximately 15 miles. Take exit 69 toward Mosier. After exiting, turn right onto Mosier Creek Road, then take a left onto the Historic Columbia River Highway. Follow this road for about 2 miles until you reach the Mosier Twin Tunnels. There is a small parking area available near the entrance to the tunnels.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, first check the schedule for the Columbia Gorge Express, which provides service from Portland to various locations in the Columbia River Gorge. Get off at the Mosier stop. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile along Mosier Creek Road to reach the Mosier Twin Tunnels. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the walk may include some uneven terrain.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, the Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail is an excellent route. You can access the trail from various points in Wasco County. Follow the trail signs towards Mosier, and make your way to the Mosier Twin Tunnels. The route features beautiful views of the Columbia River Gorge and is popular with cyclists. Make sure to wear a helmet and bring plenty of water.
