    If you're traveling by car, head south on US-97 from anywhere in Wasco County. Merge onto I-84 West toward Portland. Continue on I-84 for about 50 miles. Take exit 28 for Bridal Veil. Turn left onto the Historic Columbia River Highway, and follow the signs for Multnomah Falls. The falls will be on your left after approximately 5 miles. There is a parking fee of $5.00 per vehicle for the day.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from The Dalles to Portland via Columbia Gorge Express. Once in Portland, transfer to the Columbia Gorge Express shuttle service which operates from the gateway city to Multnomah Falls. Check the schedule as the shuttle runs seasonally and may have limited hours. Tickets for the Columbia Gorge Express shuttle are approximately $10.00 one way.

  • Bicycle

    If you're feeling adventurous and want to bike to Multnomah Falls, you can start from The Dalles. Follow the Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail, which is a scenic route designed for cyclists. The ride is about 30 miles and offers breathtaking views of the gorge.
