Once you exit, turn right onto Deschutes River Road and continue for about 1 mile until you reach the entrance of the park. There is no entry fee required for the recreation area.

For those relying on public transportation, you can catch a bus from the nearest city, The Dalles. The Columbia Gorge Express offers service to Wasco. Once in Wasco, you will need to arrange a taxi or rideshare service to reach the Deschutes River State Recreation Area, which is approximately 5 miles from the bus stop. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance as services may be limited.
