Walking
Start your journey at the Abbottabad city center. Head towards the main road, Mansehra Road (N-35), and walk in the direction of Mansehra. This road is well-marked and has pedestrian pathways. After about 2 km, you will reach the intersection near the Ayub Medical Complex. Continue on Mansehra Road for another 5 km until you reach the junction for Thandiani. Look for signs pointing towards Thandiani Top. Turn left onto the Thandiani Road. This road will lead you uphill through beautiful pine forests. Be prepared for a steep climb. After approximately 8 km on this road, you will arrive at the Thandiani Top viewpoint. The total walking distance is around 15 km, so plan accordingly and bring water and snacks.
Public Transport
From the Abbottabad city center, walk to the nearest bus station. Look for a bus or shared van heading towards Thandiani or Mera Rhmat Khan. The fare is usually affordable, around 100-200 PKR. The bus or van will take you closer to Thandiani, but you may need to get off at Mera Rhmat Khan, which is the last stop for public transport. From there, you can either continue walking uphill for about 4-5 km to reach Thandiani Top or hire a local guide or a vehicle for the last stretch. Ensure you ask locals for directions or any available transport options from Mera Rhmat Khan to Thandiani Top.
Hiking
For the adventurous, consider hiking from the nearest village, Mera Rhmat Khan. Start at the village center and follow the well-trodden paths leading into the hills. You will encounter various trails; choose the one that leads towards Thandiani Top, marked by local signs or ask residents for guidance.
