If you are traveling by car from Fairy Meadows, start by driving back to the nearest major road, which is the Karakoram Highway (KKH). To do this, take the trail from Fairy Meadows down to Raikot Bridge. This trail is about 10 kilometers and takes roughly 4-5 hours of hiking. Once at Raikot Bridge, you can drive towards Gilgit. The distance from Raikot to Gilgit is approximately 73 kilometers and will take around 2-3 hours, depending on road conditions. After reaching Gilgit, continue on the KKH towards Skardu for about 2 hours (approximately 112 kilometers). Once you reach Skardu, you will need to take a jeep to Oshato, Kohistan, which is about 50 kilometers away (around 1-1.5 hours). Finally, from Oshato, you can reach Northern Pakistan by a short hike or local transport.
