If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Karimabad, the capital of Hunza Valley. Head south on the Karakoram Highway (KKH) towards Sost. The distance is approximately 75 kilometers and will take around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on road conditions. The drive offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Once you reach Sost, continue for another 20 kilometers to reach the entrance of Khunjerab National Park, where you may need to pay an entrance fee (approximately PKR 300 per person). The park is located at the Khunjerab Pass, which is the highest border crossing in the world.

For those opting for public transportation, you can take a shared jeep from Karimabad to Sost. The jeeps typically leave when full and the ride costs around PKR 500 per person. Once you arrive in Sost, you can either take another jeep or walk the last 20 kilometers to the entrance of Khunjerab National Park. Be aware that walking may take a few hours, so plan accordingly. Remember to check the timing of the last jeep back from Sost to Karimabad to ensure you don't miss your return trip.
