From the center of Kaghan, head towards Naran on the main road. After about 15 kilometers, you will reach the village of Balakot. Take a right turn towards the Saif-ul-Malook Lake road. Continue for approximately 12 kilometers until you arrive at Saif-ul-Malook Lake. This is a popular starting point for trekking to Ansu Lake. From Saif-ul-Malook Lake, follow the marked trekking path leading to Ansu Lake. The trek is approximately 7 kilometers and can take 3-4 hours depending on your pace. The trail is steep and rocky, so make sure to wear appropriate trekking shoes and carry plenty of water.

At Saif-ul-Malook Lake, you can hire a horse to take you to Ansu Lake. The horse ride will take you approximately 2-3 hours depending on the horse's pace. Make sure to negotiate the price and confirm the return journey before setting off. The horse will follow the same trekking path, which is scenic but can be challenging, so be prepared for some steep inclines.
