If you are traveling by car, start from the main town of Kalam in Swat. Head southeast on Kalam-Mahodand Lake Road (also known as Mahodand Lake Rd) for approximately 30 kilometers. The road is well-maintained, but be cautious of any potential landslides or road work. As you drive, enjoy the scenic views of the valley. Once you reach the Mahodand Lake area, continue driving for about 15 kilometers until you reach the Ushu Waterfall. There is a small parking area nearby where you can safely leave your car.

Public Transportation
To reach Ushu Waterfall using public transportation, start from the main market area in Kalam. Look for local vans or buses heading towards Mahodand Lake. The fare is usually around 200 PKR per person. The ride will take about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on road conditions. Once you reach the Mahodand Lake area, you may need to hire a local jeep or arrange for a guide to take you to the waterfall, as the path can be rough and not suitable for regular vehicles. The jeep fare can range from 1500 to 2500 PKR for a round trip.

For the adventurous travelers, after reaching the Mahodand Lake area (either by car or public transport), you can hike to Ushu Waterfall. The hike is approximately 5 kilometers and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Follow the path that leads along the river; it is marked with local signposts. Ensure you wear good hiking shoes and carry enough water. The trail can be steep and rocky, so proceed with caution, especially if it has rained recently.
