If you are driving from Makra Peak, begin your journey by heading southwest on the main road connecting to the Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad Road (N-15). Continue on this road for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the small town of Sharan. Here, you can either stop for refreshments or continue your journey towards Payee Lake. Follow the signs for Siri Paye, which is well-marked. After about 10 more kilometers, you will reach the Siri Paye meadows. From the meadows, follow the trail leading to Payee Lake, which is approximately a 1-2 hour hike uphill. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes and carry water and snacks. The total driving distance from Makra Peak to Payee Lake is about 30 kilometers.
Public Transportation
From Makra Peak, you can take a local bus or shared taxi to Mansehra. Buses are available frequently throughout the day. Once you arrive in Mansehra, find a bus or shared vehicle heading towards Naran. Inform the driver that you want to go to Siri Paye. The ride will take about 1.5 hours. Upon reaching Siri Paye, you will need to trek approximately 1-2 hours to reach Payee Lake. Ensure you carry sufficient cash for bus fares and any potential entry fees at Siri Paye.
Hiking
